Kate is a jewellery designer and maker living in the Northern Lake District. Originally a midwife, Kate’s hands have been her work tools her entire career. Following a change in direction within the last few years, she started making jewellery and began falling in love with silversmithing and started working from her home studio near Bassenthwaite Lake.

At the core of Summit Silver is a mission to both showcase and protect the beautiful Lake District. Kate is continuously inspired by her surroundings every day and loves to experiment with different techniques and materials. Through the use of both silver and a range of carefully curated Lake District materials, hand collected by herself, kate forges unique handmade jewellery pieces you can wear and love.

Along with Summit Silver's Core Collection and more traditional jewellery featuring precious metals and gemstones, Kate also provide a commission service in which she is able to obtain great excitement from making bespoke, meaningful pieces for customers and their loved ones.
